DeenunaDaily The 25 Prophets of the Qur'an

لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ

The 25 Prophets of the Qur'an

"We make no distinction between any of His messengers." — Qur'an 2:285. From Adam to Muhammad ﷺ, one message: worship Allah alone.

1 آدَم

Adam

The First Man

Created by Allah's own Hand, taught the names of all things. He slipped, repented, and was forgiven — the first tawbah, the first mercy.

2 إِدْرِيس

Idris

The Truthful Scribe

Raised to a high station, the first to write with the pen. Patient and truthful — "Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet." (19:56)

3 نُوح

Nuh

The Patient Preacher

950 years calling his people to the One God. They mocked; he built the Ark. The flood came, and the believers sailed to safety.

4 هُود

Hud

Warner of 'Ad

Sent to the mighty people of 'Ad with their towering buildings. They asked who is stronger than us? The wind answered.

5 صَالِح

Salih

The She-Camel

Sent to Thamud, who carved homes in the mountains. His sign: a she-camel from the rock — and a people who hamstrung their own mercy.

6 إِبْرَاهِيم

Ibrahim

Khalilullah

The Friend of Allah. He broke the idols, survived the fire cool and safe, left his family in a barren valley for Allah — and built the Ka'bah.

7 لُوط

Lut

The Rescued

Nephew of Ibrahim, sent to a corrupt city. The angels came; the city fell at dawn. "Leave with your family in the night." (11:81)

8 إِسْمَاعِيل

Isma'il

The Faithful Son

The boy who said to his father: "Do as you are commanded." The sacrifice became a ram, and Zamzam a spring that flows to this day.

9 إِسْحَاق

Ishaq

The Gift

Announced by angels to old Ibrahim and laughing Sarah — a son from whom came the prophets of Bani Isra'il.

10 يَعْقُوب

Ya'qub

The Patient Father

He lost Yusuf for decades and said only: "Sabrun jamil — beautiful patience." Grief whitened his eyes; faith never dimmed.

11 يُوسُف

Yusuf

The Beautiful Story

Thrown in a well, sold as a slave, imprisoned for refusing sin — then made a minister of Egypt. "Indeed, Allah does not waste the reward of the doers of good." (12:90)

12 أَيُّوب

Ayyub

The Patient One

Lost wealth, children and health — and never complained against Allah. Then: "Strike with your foot — here is cool water." Everything returned, doubled.

13 شُعَيْب

Shu'ayb

The Orator of Prophets

Sent to Madyan with the message of honest measures and honest weights. The cheat in the marketplace is his battlefield.

14 مُوسَى

Musa

Kalimullah

He spoke with Allah directly. The staff, the sea, the mountain, Pharaoh drowned — the most-told story in the Qur'an.

15 هَارُون

Harun

The Eloquent Brother

"Appoint for me a helper from my family" — and Harun was the gift. Gentle, eloquent, beloved by the people.

16 ذُو الْكِفْل

Dhul-Kifl

The Steadfast

Remembered with Isma'il and Idris among the patient. He undertook a great duty and kept it, always.

17 دَاوُود

Dawud

The Voice of Praise

A king given the Zabur (Psalms). The mountains and birds sang with him; iron grew soft in his hands; he judged with justice.

18 سُلَيْمَان

Sulayman

The Kingdom

His kingdom spanned men, jinn and birds, and the wind carried his throne. Yet his heart said: "This is from the bounty of my Lord."

19 إِلْيَاس

Ilyas

Warner of Baal

Called his people away from the idol Ba'l to the Best of Creators. Alone, unshaken, sincere.

20 الْيَسَع

Al-Yasa'

The Successor

He carried the mission after Ilyas among the best of the chosen — remembered by Allah by name.

21 يُونُس

Yunus

The Man of the Whale

He left in anger, was swallowed by the whale, and in the darkness called: "There is no god but You, glory be to You, I was of the wrongdoers." Allah saved him — and He saves all the believers.

22 زَكَرِيَّا

Zakariyya

The Quiet Du'a

Old, grey, childless — he whispered: "My Lord, do not leave me alone, though You are the best of inheritors." Allah gave him Yahya.

23 يَحْيَى

Yahya

The Devout

Given while his father was old, named by Allah Himself. Honourable, chaste, a prophet from among the righteous — martyred for truth.

24 عِيسَى

'Isa

The Word of Allah

Born of Maryam without a father, spoke in the cradle, healed by Allah's leave, raised the dead by Allah's leave. Allah raised him up, and he will return.

25 مُحَمَّد

Muhammad

ﷺ The Final Messenger

The mercy to all the worlds. Orphan, shepherd, merchant, prophet — he completed the message and left us the Qur'an and his Sunnah. No prophet comes after him.

One chain. One message. One Lord.

Every prophet came with the same first words: "O my people, worship Allah; you have no other god besides Him."
