DeenunaDaily FAQ

Frequently Asked

The questions we hear most — answered plainly.

Are the prayer times really accurate?

Yes. Times are computed astronomically for your town's exact coordinates — Fajr 18°, Esha 18°, Hanafi Asar — and calibrated to the minute against the live LUSAKA TAQWEEM. Jamaat times are set by each masjid and are shown separately on the Namaz Times page.

Whose azaan plays on the live iftaar?

The Ramadan page watches all four main Lusaka masjids — Jaame, Tawheed, Umar al-Farooq and Noor — and plays the first Maghrib azaan that goes live, streamed from the masjid's own server. Press the button once before maghrib and it starts by itself.

Do I need an account?

Only for the personal trackers — salah, qadha, sujood, Qur'an khatm, fasting, goals and the family board. Everything else — times, calendar, Qur'an reading, halal checker, recordings — is open to everyone, no account.

Is my data safe?

We store only what the trackers need, in your account. We sell nothing, show no ads, and send no spam. The full promise is on the privacy policy page.

How strict is the halal ingredient checker?

Very. Haram ingredients are flagged haram. Anything that could be animal-derived is flagged mushbooh. And anything the checker does not recognise is marked "needs checking" — it is never auto-passed. For products you rely on daily, the certification body's logo still stands above any tool.

Why do you list certification bodies?

A recognised logo — ZAMHA here in Zambia, SANHA on most South African imports — is the strongest evidence you can hold. We link straight to their sites so you can verify a product with them directly.

Are the recordings yours?

No. Every recording streams live from the masjid's own server — we store nothing. It is their recitation, their reward, and their right.

What is the Hifz Eutopia?

Our online Hifz and DOR programme — the sister project of Deenuna Daily. Students memorise with live teachers and daily revision. The link is in the footer and under Qur'an & Hifz on the Home page.

Is Deenuna part of a masjid or organisation?

No. Deenuna Daily is completely independent — a family project built with ihsan. We are not under any organisation, and we answer to no one but Allah.

How is the site funded?

Sadaqah. There are no ads and no charges. If Deenuna helps your family, a donation keeps the servers running — and a sincere du'a is worth even more.

Can our masjid be added?

Please — contact us with your timetable and recording stream details and we will add you. More masjids means more families praying on time.

The moon sighting may shift Ramadan by a day — why show dates?

Our Ramadan dates follow the Umm al-Qura reckoning; your local sighting may differ by a day, and that is mercy. The times themselves always follow the actual date on your calendar.
